Recently a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Roadster sold for around $12,000,000 (yes, $12 million) at an auction according to Earth News.

It seems that with the word economy turning around people are looking to spend money again. And nothing is as exciting as spending $1,000,000’s on a classic or one-of-a kind automobile.

Since there are never going to be any more of them they only appreciate in value every year. And every time one is lost to accidents or theft the value of the remaining ones goes up because they are increasingly rare.

There are some good deals on the eBay classic cars that you can buy now as an investment and hold on to. Or you if you are handy, you can buy a well used classic old car and restore it yourself. A fully restore classic is worth a lot more than a barely running shell.

The boy in the commercial knows what he wants and I am sure that one day he will get his Porsche.

Which Porsche do you want? How about a Used Porsche 911s?

Last weekend was a fund raiser that drew quite a crowd. For a charity donation you got to go for a ride in a super car or a tuner.

The cars were donated and the owners gave their time, their tires and their brakes to raise money for Sick Kids.

Some of the drivers were professionals and others were owners of exotics that wanted to have a good time. These are some of the better laps.

This question has raised some serious discussion. It seems like most people are pretty dedicated to their preferred brand. Some people are saying the Nissan GT-R has the best exhaust sounds. I have not seen one on the street yet but I found some videos of it.

Nissan’s GT-R (or GTR) is widely quoted to be faster than a Porsche 911 Turbo around the Nuremberg but for the sakes of this discussion does it sound better than a 911 Turbo?

Based the videos it sounds a little too high pitched it does not have the deep rumble of the German and Italian rivals. It is still an amazing machine though.

After seeing the videos on the G37 I got to thinking, which car has the best exhaust?

There are lot of strong contenders, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes, Porsche, BMW but who makes the best?

I have posted a couple of good videos that I found. If you know any or have one yourself, please put up a link and we will see if we can find a winner.

The videos need to have a good microphone to capture the exhaust properly and please, have a friend work the camera so you don’t have to get in the car and out again when you are done.

Just because you can does not always mean you should.

Case in point, a stretched tank limo. It claims to be first stretched track based vehicle.

I guess some people want to make a big entrance. I think getting in and out of it in a evening gown might prove difficult.

I was looking around YouTube and found a video showing off quite a few pictures of some Dubs and Tuners.

You can see the passion the people have for their cars by the amount of time and effort that would have been required for such a massive modification.

In case you have not heard, Porsche has made a 4 door sedan.

I know what you are thinking? Why? How? Who? These are all good questions and they deserve good answers.

I for one am in favor of the Panamera. Porsche has insisted that it is a proper Porsche and not a watered down version with a fancy badge. I know the v-shaped engines in the front of the car will turn some purists off but you have you have to make a car work as well as perform. For the most part I quite like the styling of the car. It preserves much of the character of the coupes while adding its own flair. Some have criticized the hatchback, but if you think about it, the Caymans and and 911s have a hatchback shape to them. I feel that it makes the car quite faithful.

If I can get the same drive as my Boxster S and be able to put a baby seat in the back, that sounds good to me! I know the 911’s have somewhat of a back seat to them but I could not image trying to get a car seat in and out of the car. Unless it was a cabriolet, hmmm….

It should be unveiled to the world in late April but Autoweek has some new spy shots of it. Check it out here. When there is one at a local dealership I know I will be giving them a call.
